Hi Everyone!  It's Traci here to share a few cards I created using the darling new Doodlebug Snips and Snails cut files (available in the Lori Whitlock SVG Shop and the Silhouette Online Design Store).   I used lots of different 6x6 paper patterns from the new gingham petite prints and swiss dots, and a few older collections from my stash.
For the car, I duplicated and vertically flipped the base car image, and then welded the two pieces together to create a card. Here is a list of files that I used for my cards: Baby Boy title Car Elephant Stars Giraffe Sailboat Thanks for stopping by today!

Spring Things Collection: Let Your Smile Be Your Umbrella Layout with Kathy

Hi Everyone!  It's Kathy today with a fun layout I created using the new Spring Things Collection!  I just love the soft colors and the cute critters in this collection!  I've said it before, and I'll say it again... ONLY Doodlebug can make a bug cute!  Take a peek...

I just love the patterns and colors of this collection, from the polka dots of the Little Wonders paper to the fun plaid in the Butterfly Net paper, they all scream spring!  Here are some close-ups...

I used a LOT of the Odds & Ends from this collection.  They are so fun to add in little clusters!  I also couldn't resist using one of the Clouds from the Cute Clips!

My favorite new item in this collection is the acetate pieces in the Odds & Ends!  They are so fun and add a little something extra! And no layout is complete without a few of the word stickers from the This & That Sticker Sheet!

The little Dragonfly from the Icon Stickers was just so sweet!  I also used a few of the Pastel Posies Shaped Sprinkles, they're so pretty!  Make sure to stop by all this week for more Spring Things Inspiration from the Design Team!  That's it for me today, thanks for stopping by to peek!

Spring Things Collection: Out of the Mud Layout by Karen Hanson

Hi everyone! It's Karen from ScrappyCanuck Studios, and today we get to talk about Spring!

Spring is such a fun time filled with bright fresh colors...well, at least it is in pictures I have seen. Up here in Calgary, spring is, well, muddy! We tend to have a bit of a late spring, so the first few months are a chance to get down and dirty - and my two girls love to do just that. In fact, I have pictures of them every spring playing and jumping in muddy puddles. The new collection from Doodlebug called Spring Things was a perfect chance to get some of those pictures scrapped! layout-closed-full
Now this collection is filled with all sorts of cute elements... flower-pull-out
...like some amazing acetate Odds and Ends pieces and shaped Sprinkles! In fact, these acetate pieces inspired the interactive elements on both projects I get to share today! One of the great things about acetate is that it is very durable, so die cuts made from it are perfect for pulls or tabs on projects. I really love making interactive layouts, but adding a piece that can be handled regularly is not always easy...until now! Check it out: layout-closed
Here is everything tucked nicely away... layout-partial
...but pull up on the top flower piece and voila... layout-out
...some hidden pictures! And if you are worried about your adhesive showing through, fear not! Simply apply a cute Sprinkle over top of any adhesive peeking through... card-full
... or even a sequin! Because the best part about acetate is that you can see through it! Shake away crafty peeps! These pieces would be used as awesome inside a shaker element as they are on top as I have them here. card-dimension
Yup, acetate is my new favourite material (especially when I remember to take off the protective film that is on top before I add elements...whoops)! card-flower
So don't be afraid to get your hands dirty with this new collection! It is everything that is Doodlebug adorable with some hidden surprises as well! layout-open-full-2
Thanks for stopping by! Hugs, Karen
