Fun Fold Cards with Doodlbug Design Happy Go Lucky Collection

Hi there! Top o' the Mornin' to ya! It's Tya here - and this post has got me feeling all Irish and so ready for St. Patty's Day! Many of you know that I absolutely love fun fold cards. I love creating them and even better giving them! There is something so fun about making a card with a fun pop up feature, or a fun design element that makes opening a fun fold card - well - So Much Fun! Today I want to show you the 3 cards that I did featuring Doodlebug's first ever St. Patrick's Day line - Happy Go Lucky and Doodlebug's textured cardstock. Come check out what I did!

I used my Silhouette machine for each of these cards. Have I told you how awesome the Doodlebug Textured cardstock cuts in my Silhouette? I love it! If you have an electronic die cutting machine - try the cardstock - it's the best!  I have included the link to the exact files I used from the Silhouette Shop in my post.
My first card is this fun one is called a  Circles Flip Swing Card . How fun are the little happy, smiling shamrocks peeking out from the swing out portion of the card.?

This next card is called a Center Easel Card. I loved adding the darling little freckled Leprechaun boy to this card. Isn't he cute? This card lays down flat but then using a sticker and a pop dot, you can make it so the easel portion pops up!

And finally we have this adorable card called a Scallop Center Step Card.  When I designed this card I really wanted to use the shamrock from the 4x4 cut out sheet , so I deleted the scallop portion of the cut file and added the shamrock circle. I did trim the 4x4 square down just a bit to fit the card base, but I love how I was still able to use most of the square.

Thank you so much for stopping by and taking a peek. If you feel "lucky" to have that special someone in your life, whip up one of these fun and festive cards for them. I know with the combination of the cute Happy Go Lucky Products and the fun folds that are on these cards, your recipient will totally know how you feel. Have a wonderful day!

Happy-go-Lucky: I'm the Lucky One Layout

Hi everyone! Stephanie here today to share my latest Doodlebug layout with you using the new Happy-Go-Lucky collection.
Since St. Patrick's Day isn't really a holiday we celebrate in our family, I decide that it was the perfect collection for me to use to share how lucky I am to have our little family.

I'm The Lucky One:

For this layout I started with my background. I used my Silhouette to cut out this shamrock cluster with the St. Paddy Plaid paper. I liked it but felt that it needed other shades of green so I cut it again using the Leprechaun Polka paper and layered some of them on top of the existing ones.

My title was also a cut from my Silhouette, after I got it all put together I layered on the "Lucky" sticker from the Icons Cardstock Sticker Sheet. I liked how it introduced some yellow gold into the layout and I added the two little boy and girl leprechauns on each side of my page to balance it out.

To finish off my page I used some of the Doodlebug washi tape around my page as a border then sewed around it.
This is such a fun collection and I can't wait to see how everyone uses it!
Thanks for stopping by today,
Stephanie.

Happy-go-Lucky: Lucky Me Layout by Jennifer

Hello Doodlebug fans! Jennifer here to share a layout I created using the Happy Go Lucky collection
I used my Silhouette to cut out a leafy background into some cardstock. Then added some glitter sprinkles, for the flowers.
The photo and " Lucky Me" block were glued together onto some cardstock, creating a 4"x 9" rectangle. The rectangular piece was then wrapped with some twine. Then some fun clover stickers were then added, along with a Pink Posie Doodle-Pop.
I added a scalloped border sticker behind my photo and some mini clothespins, for some pops of color. Border stickers and strips of paper were also placed on the cardstock along side of the photo.
Teensy Type number stickers were used to date the layout and some Rainbow Stripe washi tape and a clothes pin was used to hold some journaling in place.
The journaling was printed onto some cardstock then mounted to a Mini Stitched Card. The card was then tucked away under the "Lucky Me" block. Happy crafting everyone! :) Jennifer

Happy-go-Lucky Collection: Colorful Gift Set

Hi everyone! It's Traci and I'm back to share a cute gift idea with you today. For this project I used the brand new Happy Go Lucky collection to create a teacher's gift set. Here are the details:
To start, I used white card stock and "Happy-Go-Lucky" pattern paper to create a small gift box. I used a cutting file by Alaa'K and tied ribbon through the holes in the corners.

I love Doodlebug's cards so I used two of them in my project. I used the limeade A6 swiss dot card and for my sticky note holder I used the limeade slim filigree card.

For the pen, I wrapped limeade swiss dot washi tape around the pen and cut and layered flowers out of pattern paper for the top. A cute limeade boutique button and bubblegum twine finished off the pen.

What's a gift without a bit of chocolate right? So I wrapped 1" pattern paper strips around chocolate nugget candies and tucked them into a bubblegum striped treat bag.

In addition to the products I mentioned, I also used the "Happy-Go-Lucky" icon and fancy frill stickers, bubblegum twine, limeade twine, and sprinkles.

Please visit my blog for a quick and easy tutorial on scoring and cutting Doodlebug's filigree card to make the sticky note folder.

Happy Go Lucky Card Set by Wendy Sue

Hi Doodlebug Friends!  It's Wendy Sue here today, sharing a fun set of St. Patrick's Day cards I made with the oh-so-green-and-lovely "Happy Go Lucky" Collection!
In addition to the super cute "Happy Go Lucky" papers and stickers, I dove into my stash to find lots of additional green (and rainbow) colored items to add to my cards.
On this card, you'll notice the green mini clothes pins, green sprinkles, and yellow doodle twine.  They coordinate perfectly with the greens and yellows on this card!  Oh, and the focal piece is one of the journaling cards - I simply trimmed around the bracket shape and added it with pop dots!

I couldn't resist using these sweet multi-colored four leaf clovers on a card.  The rainbow washi tape and multi-colored chevron sprinkles were the perfect addition!
And did you spot to green paper doilie and doodle twine too?!?

Card # 3 features the pot of gold, gold coins, a horseshoe, and a cute striped four leaf clover for extra luck!
Don't forget to use the color coordinated mini paper clips on your cards!  I used more sprinkles on this one...and the rainbow washi - isn't it perfect?!?

And I saved my favorite for last!
These two little leprachauns are just the cutest things ever! Of course, they should be perched upon a "kiss me" banner and surrounded by rainbows and colorful dots!
The "kiss me" banner is actually a word strip cut from a 4x6 card and notched on the end.  I added colorful doodle twine to the left side and tied pink twine around the top portion. There's the other half of that cute green doilie - and more green sprinkles!

I sure feel lucky to be able to share these cards with you - I hope you're having a lucky day too!

So Lucky to Have Each Other Layout

Hi Everyone!  It's Kathy today with a layout featuring Doodlebug's new Happy Go Lucky Collection.  I was so excited to see a St. Patrick's Day collection, you wouldn't know it from my married name (Skou), but I come from a long line of Kelley's, Barrett's, Doyle's, McDonough's.... so this is right up my alley!  Take a peek at my layout...

I love this silly group selfie of my family...I actually used this for my Christmas card picture this year.  It was perfect for my theme...So Lucky to Have Eachother.

I LOVE the new Lucky Doodlepop...I can't resist anything glittery!  And don't get me started on the Rainbow Stripe Washi!  I added a little shaker to the layout to bring more of the rainbow colors into my project.

The little smiling shamrocks from the Icon Stickers sheet were irresistible as well!  Well that's it for me today...make sure to come back for more Design Team inspiration! Thanks for stopping by!

Happy-Go-Lucky Layout by Mendi

Hello there!  It's Mendi here today with a layout using the aptly named Happy-Go-Lucky collection!  The stickers and characters in this line just make me smile!
For this layout, I turned to a fun sketch by Creative Scrappers as my jumping off point.  I had a blast embellishing each circle on the sketch like a mini canvas.  For those of you who are intimidated by scrapbooking, this is the perfect way to get past your fears and break things down into bite sized pieces.
For this little circle, I layered the pot of gold sticker with some mini bumblebee jewels.  I love adding small touches like this to my stickers to make them special.
To ground the bottom half of my page, I added a series of scalloped borders.  Some of the prints were getting lost and blending into one another so I decided to punch a second border from the lighter green patterned paper to act as a little divider between some of the busier prints.
St. Patrick's day papers are hard to come by and this is such a fun collection with so many great prints!  I can't wait to make something else with all the fun rainbow motifs for a completely different look!
