Springtime Collection: Teddy's Baby Album by Melinda + Giveaway

I promised myself that I was going to keep on top of Teddy's baby album with the best intentions... really I did! So, now that we have just celebrated his second birthday I feel I may have slightly overestimated my ability to 'keep on track'. Fortunately I haven't completely lost my memory yet, and also have lots of social media posts to use as a reference. Time to get some action happening!

When I first spotted the Springtime Collection I thought it was very 'pink' until I flipped the papers over and found lots of beautiful options perfect for a little boy's storybook. And the Simply Put 4x6 inserts are an ideal solution for those of us who want fun, unique designs that slip straight into the Storybook plastic pockets... great for when I'm lacking on design ideas and conscious of my time. And they come in pads of 18 double sided pages with both vertical and horizontal options for your designs... perfect!

Move over sequins... I have a new love! Epoxy Arrow Sprinkles! I can't get enough of these little embellishments and they are perfect use in the plastic album pockets because they are relatively flat with only a slight raised surface area.

Another positive for this style of memory keeping is Doodlebug's color palette... the colours never change so it doesn't matter what collection or embellishment you are using, everything will always match. And it's the best way to use up all your left over little bits and pieces from previous projects.

I hope the weather is warming up for everyone in the Northern Hemisphere as it seems that you've had a fairly long, cold winter. We have also had a long, dry and very hot Summer here in Australia so I'm thankful for the turn in the weather with the beginning of our Autumn.

I hope I have given you some ideas to inspire your scrapping... Melinda.

And don't forget today is the last day to enter the giveaway!!!

Springtime Collection: Layouts by Candace and Kathy

What do you think about when you think of spring? We think about bright Doodlebug colors and warm fuzzy bunnies! Our new Springtime Collection has a little something for everyone. Here's two darling layouts that hopefully have you thinking SPRING!!

Hello Easter Bunnyby Candace Zentner

Hi crafty friends!! Candace from Scrappin' 2 Little Princesses here today!
The new Springtime Collection is so bright and fun - I just can't get enough of it! I have been holding onto some Easter pictures with real bunnies of my daughter and this collection was perfect!

I knew I wanted to use the new mini garland on my layout even though I was fighting the urge to keep it in packaging it so I could stare at it for months... I love the fun little touch it adds to projects!

Since the garland is stitched, I added some stitching with my sewing machine in a few other spots.

These tiny little bunnies are over the top cute! To make sure they gained enough attention on my layout, I popped them up using some foam stickers. Next time I use some, I think I'll add some glitter to their ears and bellies!

I love that Doodlebug has such a range of alphabet stickers that I can ALWAYS find the perfect size and font to suit my projects. The alphabet stickers I used here are the Lily White Teensy Type stickers. I used a scalloped die to cut a circle to place my title on and ran a border sticker along the bottom.

Hopefully my layout has you all as excited to dive into the Springtime Collection as I was!! I am itching for spring to arrive so I can take more pictures of my girls inspired by this collection!!

Cute As a Bunny
by Kathy Skou

Hi's Kathy today with a layout featuring Doodlebug's Springtime Collection.  Springtime is such a fun, bright and cheery collection...classic Doodlebug!!  I had to dig a little to find the perfect pictures...these are of my daughter when she was almost 4.  (she's almost driving now...) We had a mini photo session to make some Easter cards.

The new Springtime Garland is my favorite part of this great collection!!!  Such a fun addition to any project!

Here are some more close ups...
Aren't the bunny stickers ADORABLE??!!!  They inspired my whole layout!
That's it for me today...make sure to check back to see more awesome projects created by the Design team!!!  Thanks for stopping by.

Springtime Collection: Bunny Mask Kids Craft

So I am super bummed that I have been on bedrest during the time for these projects because I am SOOO not done with this line! Courtney from Court's Crafts here with a fun kids' project or something fun to put in their Easter baskets!

It's cute and fun and DID YOU SEE THOSE KITES in the springtime line!?! ugh. love.

So apparently getting a 19 month old to model a mask is.... nearly impossible. I even tried bribery - something I am generally opposed to. I used raisins which are like her candy!

So I tried taking one of myself but a: I resized it to fit Emmaline and b: I am not nearly as cute.

So I took one of my unsuspecting newborn! Surprise! She didn't even need bribing! Introducing 2 week old Charlotte Rose - making her Doodlebug debut!

Thanks for checking out my little bunny mask! Have a beautiful day!

Springtime Collection: Hippity Hoppity Adorable Door Decor

Yay for Springtime!  Shellye along today with a sweetly adorned, inexpensive wooden fence that I purchased at Hobby Lobby.  The piece all ready came painted white, and in hindsight I wished that I had covered it in that's another idea if you're inclined to make one yourself :)

To begin, I outlined the edge of the wooden slats with Swimming Pool Doodle Twine (I use a glue pen for this). The cute "Hippity Hoppity" title is from Miss Kate Cuttables...I selected some of the "B" sided papers from the Springtime Collection and went to cutting!

For the base of the title, I used some basic Doodlebug cardstock.  I accented the cut-out Easter eggs with a few cardstock stickers and Sprinkles!

I cut the grass pieces out three times and then glued them to the bottom of the fence...a perfect fit!

And a title boasting "hippity hoppity" must have a bunny!  I added this little guy with foam adhesive and dressed him up with a twine bow.  To finish, I tied through some bright pink chevron ribbon from May Arts and now it's ready for hanging.

Hope you're enjoying some beautiful Springtime weather where you are...thanks for visiting!

Doodlebug Design and Heartfelt Escape and Create Event

Hi there! Over the weekend we had the chance to take part in a wonderful event sponsored by one of our local scrapbook stores here in Salt Lake - Heartfelt Hobby and Craft. We had a wonderful time connecting and creating with local Doodlebug Design fans at this event!
We made the darling  pocket organizer designed by Shellye McDaniel and a couple of bonus handmade cards.
We loved being a part of this event and can't wait to come back again next time! Thanks ladies for all the laughs and for the ladies at Heartfelt for making such a treat to attend!

Springtime Collection: Meeting the Easter Bunny

Hi everyone! Jodi here today to share with a fun Easter layout using the new collection:  Springtime!  I was excited for this collection, and when I saw the Springtime Icon Stickers AND the Hippity Hoppity Icon Stickers, it was a toss up to try and figure out which layout I would do first!  The cute little bunnies won me over, so I created an Easter Themed layout:

I started the layout by adding some washi tape down the left side and layered the fancy frill sticker just on top. I LOVE making little scenes on my layout, and I knew I wanted to create a scene with that adorable little bunny! I fringed some green patterned paper to make the grass and added the spring tree sticker in the middle. I then hid the eggs in the grass!

I continued to make a kite scene using the mini kits craft kit and tied it in with the little lamb on my grid design on the right hand side of the layout:

I then added some stickers on the patterned paper grids, and some photos. I divided the left side and the right side of the layout with the Springtime mini garland!

I hope this layout brings some Easter Smiles to your face!

Springtime Collection: Easter Basket by Amanda

I love making fun baskets and filling them with fun treats for Easter.  This paper basket and paper carrot treat boxes are fun and festive and are sure to make the kids grin from ear to ear. All you need to gather up is the new Springtime Collection from Doodlebug.

This little paper basket measures 4" in diameter and is a snap to put together.  Fill with some cute treat boxes and add some embellishments and it's all ready to go!

I die cut three small carrot boxes from the darling carrot paper.  Each box is topped with a baker's twine tassel.  These boxes can be filled with yummy treats or small gifts.

This cute bunny is holding a couple of pixies with fun flags.  You can easily swap out the Easter flag for a Happy Spring tag.

I used brightly colored mini staples to hold the strips of paper together.  I held all of the strips of paper together at the top with some striped washi tape.

Thanks for stopping by today!

Springtime Collection: Two Fun Coloring Easter Eggs Layouts

It happens every year, the same wonderful event of coloring Easter eggs with your family and friends. So the more inspiration we can give you on how to scrapbook those memories the better, right? So today we're featuring two fun layouts on this topic from Wendy and Aimee.

Coloring Easter Eggs by Wendy Sue Anderson

Hello Doodlebug Friends!  It's Wendy Sue - I'm taking over the blog today, sharing a fun Easter layout with the new Springtime collection!  I have to admit that when I saw the cute easter bunnies and eggs, I knew I had to document a little Easter that I'm sure many of you share - coloring eggs!

I used lots of stickers from the "hippity hoppity" icon sheet - the title, the bunnies, and the eggs are all from that sheet.  I did add some extra lettering to complete my title...

The little banner up in the corner came from the fancy frills sticker sheet - I love that there are so many uniqye little flag pieces - I will be able to use the rest of the flags on one or two projects.

I wanted to make this little easter bunny scene with the stickers - I used foam adhesive to pop up a few of the eggs (just as I did with the banner pieces) - and mounted everything on a little tag I cut from patterned paper.

But wait - that's not just any tag - look closely and you'll see an extra little surprise:

Can you see the little treat bag underneath the tag?  It's holding some journaling as well as several "extra" photos from our day.

Hidden journaling and pockets for photos are one of my favorite ways to make sure I'm saving complete memories, without actually displaying every single little item.  Have you ever used hidden journaling or photos on your layouts?  What's your favorite method?

Easter Eggs Layout
by Aimee Kidd

Hello Doodlebug fans! Aimee here with you today to share an Easter layout using the fun and festive Springtime collection. The bright colors were a perfect match with my pictures of the kids coloring their Easter eggs. This collection is a sure win for all those springy occasion pictures.
